Junior Production Designer

Uno Alla Volta is looking for a team player, who appreciates what we do, to join our BrandingCreative team. The successful candidate will produce digital and print design assets that achieve marketing and merchandising objectives, inspire customers, and clearly express the Uno Alla Volta brand and its offerings.

Primary responsibilities include:

Print Production Design:

• Prep catalog files to be ready for design by setting up folders and docs for new season. This includes building the pagination doc, basic spread set up with page numbers and updating footer details with spread names, placing images in workspace per turnover from merchandising.
• Manage and maintain up to date files by updating pagination, renaming files and folders as necessary, any applicable edits or tweaks to spreads during proofing process and checking for errors while working in spreads.
• Input and format all product copy blocks provided by the copy team on spreads to current brand specifications.
• Release design files to prepress vendor with detailed instructions for image editing.
• Collaborate with Digital Asset Coordinator tracking imagery retouching status for imagery featured in catalog.
• Collect internal and external images assets needed for final design.
• Assist with final review of catalog for errors and accuracy.
• Provide process feedback and improvements to catalog production process.
• Release design files to prepress, and review press ready PDFs from prepress vendor against original files.
• Follow and hit deadlines attached to catalog production calendar.
• Research and analyze competitor designs and best practices.
• Maintain, evolve, and guard the Uno Alla Volta visual brand by sharing inspiration and ideas.
• Support digital design team as needed.

Web Production Design:

• Crop imagery for digital ads for paid and organic social.
• Prep and slice email files to pass to development.
• Grow to design and execute branded email campaigns.
• Support digital design and marketing teams on any image or design asset support needs.
• Build templates to support Paid and Organic social channels.
• Color correct and enhance photo assets as needed.

Successful candidates will possess the following:

• All applicants must submit an online portfolio or PDF of work samples.
• Requires education, training, and experience equivalent to an associate degree in graphic design, commercial graphics, marketing, or similar field.
• One to three years of directly related experience (preferably in print production).
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (primarily Adobe InDesign) and MS Office is required.
• Ability to view and judge images for quality and color is required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, setting priorities, and managing time effectively.
• Ability to maintain meticulous attention to detail.
