Junior Production Designer

Overview
The Junior Production Designer is the backbone of our visual creative output. As our agency grows, we need a dedicated team member who ensures our concepts are translated into high-quality, real-world assets. This role is about precision and scale—taking the beautiful brands our senior team builds and meticulously rolling them out across every format imaginable. By mastering the technical “how” of our delivery, you allow our creative engine to run faster, smoother, and more reliably. While this role is production-focused and rarely involves direct client interaction, it offers a “front-row seat” to agency life and will help set your career in motion.

This position is full-time. Our office is a hybrid workplace at which we work 3 days in the office at our Frederick, Maryland location and 2 days remotely. However, during the first 6 month onboarding phase full-time in the office is required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take approved design concepts and resize them for various needs (e.g., turning one hero graphic into 10 different social media sizes or print dimensions)
  • Update existing print and digital files (e.g., flyers, brochures, social graphics, etc.) with new copy and imagery while maintaining the original design integrity
  • Handle foundational image work, such as background removal, color balancing, and cropping for social media
  • Assist in “brand-ifying” raw video footage—trimming clips, adding logos, and ensuring video assets meet platform-specific specs
  • Help the senior design team pre-flight, collect, and package files for print or digital publication, ensuring all links, fonts, and colors are correctly set
  • Maintain a searchable library of final assets and working files to ensure the team can find what they need instantly
  • The ability to handle a high volume of requests and repetitive tasks with a positive, “can-do” attitude
  • Identify bottlenecks in the design-to-delivery pipeline and suggest process improvements to increase speed and reliability
  • Works closely with the design team and Creative Director
  • Comfortable working “behind the scenes” to support the broader agency goals without the need for client-facing interaction
  • Perform tasks as assigned by the Principal
