The Junior Purchase Executive will assist in procurement of fire fighting materials and equipment by coordinating with vendors, preparing purchase orders, and ensuring timely material delivery. The role involves maintaining purchase records, verifying material quality as per specifications, and coordinating with site, stores, and accounts teams. Supports cost control and smooth procurement operations.
- Assist in procurement of fire fighting materials such as pipes, valves, pumps, sprinklers, hydrants, fittings, panels, and accessories.
- Prepare and process Purchase Requisitions (PR), Requests for Quotation (RFQ), and Purchase Orders (PO).
- Coordinate with approved vendors for quotations, negotiations, order confirmation, and delivery schedules.
- Compare quotations and prepare comparative statements for management approval.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery as per project timelines.
- Coordinate with store/site team for material receipt, GRN, and quality checks.
- Maintain purchase records, vendor details, invoices, and supporting documents.
- Ensure materials comply with approved specifications, drawings, and standards (UL/FM/ISI where applicable).
- Assist in vendor evaluation and development for fire fighting materials.
- Support inventory control by tracking stock levels and avoiding shortages or excess.
- Coordinate with accounts team for invoice verification and timely payments.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
