Junior QA Automation Engineer (West Bengal Candidates apply only)

Role Summary: -

We are looking for an automation tester with up to 6 months to 1 years of hands-on exposure to test automation. This role is for someone who understands testing basics and is learning automation the right way, not just copying scripts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Learn and assist in creating basic automation test scripts for web applications
• Execute automated test cases and report failures with clarity
• Understand manual test cases and identify scenarios suitable for automation
• Support senior testers in maintaining automation suites
• Perform basic API testing under guidance
• Log defects with proper steps, screenshots, and evidence
• Participate in sprint ceremonies and QA discussions
• Follow defined QA processes and improve testing discipline

Required Skills & Eligibility:-

• 0–6 months experience or internship in software testing/automation
• Knowledge of software testing fundamentals (manual testing concepts are mandatory)
• Basic understanding of automation tool (Selenium / Playwright / Cypress)
• Familiarity with one programming language: Java / Python / JavaScript (basic level is fine)
• Understanding of test case design and defect lifecycle
• Willingness to learn frameworks, not just tools

Good to Have (Not Deal-Breakers)

• Academic or project exposure to automation testing
• Basic API testing using Postman
• Familiarity with Git
• Awareness of Agile / Scrum methodology

Salary:-Rs 10000 to Rs 12000 per month
