Role and responsibilities
A food quality control specialist is responsible for checking the quality and safety of food products at various stages of production, processing, packaging, storage, and distribution. They use various methods and tools to test food samples for physical, chemical, and microbiological properties, such as color, texture, flavor, moisture, acidity, pH, shelf life, allergens, contaminants, and pathogens. They also inspect food facilities and equipment for hygiene, sanitation, and maintenance and report any issues or deviations from food standards and regulations. They may also conduct audits, train staff, review documentation, and communicate with suppliers, customers, and authorities. ETC
