Junior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer / QA Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products by conducting tests, identifying issues, and collaborating with team members to resolve problems. This role is perfect for someone with internship or entry-level experience in QA who is eager to grow their skills in both manual and automated testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in validating software functionality in development and production environments.
• Help design and execute manual test cases and, where possible, automated tests.
• Review requirements and technical specifications to understand project goals.
• Identify, document, and track defects and issues in issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to help verify fixes.
• Support the creation of test plans, test cases, and test data.
• Perform basic functional, regression, and usability testing.
• Participate in team discussions, code reviews, and QA process improvements.
• Learn to develop automated test scripts for repeatable processes.
• Track and report test activities, issues, and potential risks to product quality.
• Stay up to date with QA tools, methodologies, and best practices.

Requirements:

• Internship or some hands-on experience in QA or software testing.
• Familiarity with QA methodologies, tools, and processes (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) is a plus.
• Basic understanding of programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java).
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and think critically.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Detail-oriented and eager to learn.
• Pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Experience:

• Experience gained through QA internships or academic projects.
• Exposure to development and production environments.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks or tools.
• Interest in continuous integration (CI) and cloud-based applications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs20,000.00 - Rs50,000.00 per month
