Junior Software Engineer — Agentic Voice

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and self-starting Junior Software Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of our cutting-edge healthcare products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Data Structures, Algorithms, and Core Computer Science concepts, coupled with a passion for learning and a drive to build impactful solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Development: Design, develop, and test software solutions for healthcare applications.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and implement technical solutions.
  • Efficient code: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality.
  • Debugging skills: Debug and resolve software defects and issues.
  • Industry trends: Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Knowledge sharing: Actively share knowledge and contribute to a collaborative team environment.


Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Data Structures and Algorithms.
  • Solid understanding of Core Computer Science concepts (e.g., operating systems, databases, networking).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Passion for building new products and services within the healthcare industry.


Technical Expertise:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, JavaScript).
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Any relevant project experience.


How we work:

  • Small, cross‑functional pods with a tech lead (engineering owns sprint tickets; product owns the what/why and outcomes).
  • Bias to prototype → validate → build ; instrument everything; learn fast.
  • High autonomy, high bar, candid feedback, low politics.
  • Hybrid: 3 days/week in our West Loop office; occasional travel for customer meetings and team onsites.
