About Web Surfing Studios (WSS)
Web Surfing Studios (WSS) is a non-profit community of aspiring developers collaborating to enhance their technical abilities and understanding of modern software processes.

To support this mission, we offer a volunteer-run structured program run by a Senior Engineer designed to teach and mentor aspiring developers in the technical skills and processes required to deploy real-world sites and applications. Our training covers everything from web development to cloud infrastructure. The goal is for developers to finish training with a comprehensive skill set and tangible examples that will set them up for success in their careers. We've been running this program for over 5 years, and many of our members have gone on to have successful careers in tech.

We teach you the skills to grow as a developer, and in return help us build and expand the program's resources (learning platform, development tools, etc.) which will support future members.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of software concepts
• Data structures
• Object oriented programming
• History of commitment to self development
• Ability to commit 5-10 hours per week for several months
• Access to a Windows computer or willingness to use a Windows emulator (e.g., Parallels)
