Our client is seeking a detail-oriented tester to evaluate the call voice quality performance on various devices. The role focuses on ensuring a reliable call quality for customers and internal users, and the robustness of the Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) engine across diverse languages, accents, and real-world noise conditions. The ideal candidate combines a passion for audio editing and music with strong coding and analytical abilities that can quickly master audio testing methodologies.
Responsibilities:

Perform functional, regression, performance, and stress tests on voice calls using both automated scripts and manual procedures.

Simulate real world network impairments to evaluate the received and transmitted audio signal

Calculate objective quality metrics and correlate them with subjective user feedback

Work closely with codec developers, and test leads to diagnose issues (e.g., codec mismatches, echo cancellation failures, hardware limitations)

Develop and maintain automated test scripts

Collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams
-
Detect, track, and document software defects, performance issues, and inconsistencies
-
Design, execute, and maintain functional, regression, and performance test cases for mobile apps and system features

Analyze test results and provide detailed reports and feedback to the development team

Understanding audio equalizer concept and audio signal

Education and Years of Experience:
