Junior Specialist Supply Chain Management & Data Analytics

JOB SUMMARY:

The Junior Specialist – Supply Chain Management & Data Analytics is responsible for end-to-end warehouse governance, inventory control, logistics coordination, customs clearance oversight, supply chain analytics, and ERP system alignment.


The role supervises fully outsourced 3PL warehouse operations and ensures effective control over telecom infrastructure inventory including batteries, cabinets, rectifiers, DGs, solar systems, RMS, mounts, cables, and related accessories.


The position also supports warehouse expansion, relocation projects, warehouse, logistics & customs clearance service sourcing, customs broker coordination, and ERP system implementation initiatives. The role combines operational control with analytical oversight to ensure inventory accuracy, compliance, cost efficiency, and supply chain risk mitigation.


MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

A. Warehouse Governance & Supervision

  • Oversee end-to-end centralized warehouse operations managed by 3PL Service Provider.
  • Monitor inventory receiving, issuance and returns management as per internal procedures.
  • Validate the 3PL maintained delivery notes, GRNs, Inventory reports and supporting documents.
  • Conduct periodic physical stock verification, space verification and surprise audits.
  • Ensure 100% reconciliation between physical stock and system records i.e., WMS/ERP.
  • Monitor allocated warehouse area layout planning and ensure space optimization.
  • Ensure proper material segregation (New Capex/Opex, Faulty/Damaged, Dismantled).
  • Oversee 3PL compliance with agreed safety, handling, and storage standards.
  • Review and validate 3PL service invoices against agreed contractual SLAs and KPIs.
  • Monitor warehouse performance KPIs (inventory accuracy, damage rate etc).


B. Inventory Management & Control

  • Monitor stock levels, aging analysis, and report slow-moving/obsolete inventory.
  • Track budget and category-wise inventory utilization and asset traceability.
  • Ensure accurate recording of new & dismantled inventory into system i.e., WMS/ERP.
  • Perform periodic inventory reconciliation with Finance and Technical teams.
  • Maintain structured inventory coding and classification as per internal guidelines
  • Proactively identify inventory associated risks and develop mitigation controls.


C. Logistics & Transportation Oversight

  • Coordinate transportation activities with 3PL and external transporters.
  • Monitor dispatch/issuance planning and on-time delivery performance.
  • Validate 3PL transportation documentation and proof of delivery (POD).
  • Evaluate freight cost structures and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Support expansion of transportation scope in line with operational growth.
  • Monitor reverse logistics for dismantled and return materials from regions.


D. Customs Clearance & Import Coordination

  • Coordinate with customs clearing agents/brokers for import shipments i.e., air, sea.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of required import documentation.
  • Verify HS codes, duty structures, and compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate with Finance department for timely duty/tax payments.
  • Monitor shipment clearance timelines and escalate delays.
  • Maintain customs documentation repository for audit readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and trade requirements.


E. Warehouse Relocation & Expansion Projects

  • Support management with warehouse relocation planning and execution.
  • Prepare RFX documentation for new warehouse or 3PL service selection.
  • Act as end-user during technical evaluation of 3PL proposed warehouse sites.
  • Conduct warehouse site evaluations (layout, capacity, compliance, safety, scalability).
  • Develop transition plan for transfer of inventory from old to new location.
  • Coordinate transportation and phased inventory movement.
  • Ensure full inventory reconciliation before and after relocation.
  • Mitigate operational disruption during warehouse transition.


F. Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Develop SCM dashboards using Excel, Power BI and related platform/tools.
  • Conduct budget/category spend analysis and logistics cost reporting.
  • Prepare inventory aging, utilization, and stock movement reports.
  • Track agreed warehouse KPIs and logistics performance metrics.
  • Provide data-driven insights for cost control and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain structured and controlled SCM databases.


G. Post-PO Monitoring & Compliance

  • Monitor PO fulfillment, shipment tracking, and delivery timelines.
  • Coordinate timely GRN posting and documentation verification.
  • Ensure documentation readiness for internal and external audits.
  • Support compliance with supply chain policies and control frameworks.
  • Implement continuous process improvement initiatives.


H. ERP & System Coordination

  • Act as focal point during new ERP implementation on behalf of SCM department.
  • Translate warehouse, logistics, and inventory workflows into system requirements.
  • Support SCM module configuration and master data structuring with ERP team.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) & validate data migration accuracy.
  • Identify automation and digitalization opportunities within SCM operations.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

A. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in a related field and professional certifications (CIPS, CPSM, CSCP) are preferred.


B. Minimum Experience:

  • 2–4 years of experience in Supply Chain, Warehousing, Logistics, Engineering, and Data Analytics.
  • Minimum 2 years in a warehouse/inventory governance and analytics role.
  • Experience in telecom infrastructure, tower companies, or asset-intensive industries preferred.


C. Functional Expertise (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and 3PL governance.
  • Knowledge of transportation and logistics management principles.
  • Familiarity with customs clearance processes and import documentation.
  • Experience in RFP/RFQ preparation and vendor evaluation.
  • Functional understanding of Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Strong inventory control and reconciliation expertise.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Power Query, advanced formulas).
  • Power BI dashboard development capability.
  • ERP implementation or system coordination exposure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder coordination and communication ability.
  • High documentation discipline and governance mindset.
