Junior Structural Engineer – Nexus NYC

Role & Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Junior Structural Engineer to perform analysis and design for concrete, steel, masonry, and timber systems, develop retrofit and renovation plans, prepare and review construction drawings and calculations per NYC codes, coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, and contractors, conduct site inspections, and participate in client meetings and presentations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• EIT certification required; NY PE preferred or obtainable within 12 months
• 2–4 years of structural design experience, ideally on NYC high-rise, commercial, or residential projects
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and structural analysis software (ETABS, SAFE, RAM, SAP2000)
• Knowledge of NYC Department of Buildings procedures and codes
• Strong communication, analytical, and teamwork skills

Compensation & Benefits:

• $70,000 – $90,000
