Junior Test Automation Engineer

Design, implement, and maintain automated test cases for XiL environments using EXAM or other defined tools

Develop control functions via REST-API and keyword provisioning

Script test automation workflows using Groovy, Python, or shell scripting

Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines and testbench management systems

Maintain and optimize EXAM models and test specifications

Collaborate with FEP Model domain and VW Group brands to align test automation strategies

Support testers and developers with reusable automation components

Analyze test execution results and contribute to bug resolution

Document automation setups, reusable assets, and known issues

Knowledge of automation tools and frameworks (e.g., EXAM, GitHub Actions)

Scripting skills (Groovy, Python, Bash, PowerShell, CAPL)

Knowledge of ADAS systems and XiL/SIL/HIL testing workflows

Knowledge of REST APIs and test orchestration

Fluent in English

Ability to work across multiple work packages and coordinate automation needs

Understanding of scenario modeling standards (e.g., OpenScenario, ASAM OSI)

German proficiency

IREB® and IPMA® certifications beneficial

ISTQB® certification required
