Role & Responsibilities:
Job Summary
The Junior Testing & QC Engineer will support quality control and product testing for Intra Industries’ railway and industrial lighting systems as well as power electronics assemblies. The role involves carrying out mechanical and electrical inspections, product testing, and documentation, working under the guidance of senior QC and engineering teams to ensure product reliability and performance.
Quality Inspection & Testing
- Conduct incoming, in-process and final inspections of mechanical parts, PCBs, LED modules and sheet-metal assemblies.
- Perform electrical tests (luminance, thermal, EMC) and mechanical tests (vibration, IP rating, tensile strength) using appropriate instruments and jigs.
- Troubleshoot errors and streamline testing procedures to improve accuracy and speed.
Standards & Documentation
- Record inspection data, maintain test logs and prepare basic quality reports.
- Prepare and submit test reports to management; ensure all procedures meet company and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of non-conformities and coordinate with suppliers to resolve issues
Supplier & Material Collaboration
- Verify material quality, quantity, and documentation during receipt of raw materials and components
- Engage with suppliers on quality concerns and implement corrective actions as needed.
Support & Coordination
- Assist senior QC engineers in root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
- Work closely with Production and Design teams to address day-to-day quality concerns.
Continuous Improvement
- Provide feedback on process deviations and suggest improvements to reduce defects and enhance first-pass yield.
- Support initiatives to improve testing efficiency and product reliability
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma / B.Sc. in Mechanical or Electrical / Electronics.
- 1–2 years’ experience in product testing or QC within electronics or mechanical manufacturing.
- Basic knowledge of measuring instruments, electrical test equipment, and QC processes.
- Good documentation skills and an eye for detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
