Junior Truss Designer

Job description:

We’re expanding our design and estimating team in Cedar Hill, TX! We’re looking for a detail-oriented Junior Truss Designer eager to grow in the structural design and estimating field. This full-time position is ideal for individuals passionate about learning truss design, material takeoffs, and cost analysis using ALPINE software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of truss layouts, material lists, and project cost estimates.
• Interpret architectural and structural drawings to ensure accurate truss design and pricing.
• Support senior designers and estimators in developing proposals for residential and light commercial projects.
• Maintain organized project files, design records, and estimate documentation.
• Contribute to project coordination and design revisions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with ALPINE software preferred; training available for motivated learners.
• Foundational knowledge of structural framing and truss systems.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and math skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Degree or coursework in construction, drafting, or engineering preferred.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
