Job Summary

We are seeking a creative and technically capable Junior Video Editor to support our OTT and film production initiatives. This role demands a strong understanding of cinematic storytelling, visual aesthetics, and post-production discipline. The ideal candidate will work closely with directors and senior editors to deliver high-quality long-format and short-format content aligned with Prachyam’s creative vision and cultural ethos.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in editing long-format and short-format content including films, web series, trailers, teasers, promos, and OTT platform assets.
• Assemble raw footage into coherent, emotionally engaging, and cinematic narratives as per creative and directorial briefs.
• Execute rough cuts, fine cuts, and final cuts under guidance of senior editors or directors.
• Perform color correction, basic grading, transitions, sound synchronization, and continuity checks.
• Ensure compliance with OTT platform technical specifications, QC standards, and delivery formats.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to strict production timelines.
• Coordinate with directors, cinematographers, sound designers, and creative producers during post-production.
• Maintain organized project structures, version control, and backups.
• Stay updated with emerging OTT formats, cinematic techniques, and market trends.

Required Skills & Technical Competencies

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including:
• Adobe Premiere Pro
• Adobe After Effects
• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe Illustrator
• DaVinci Resolve
• Hands-on experience in motion graphics and animation
• Strong understanding of:
• Color theory and cinematic color palettes
• Visual composition and continuity
• Narrative pacing and cinematic expression
• Keen eye for detail and quality output.

Work Requirements

• Full-time position
• Work From Office (WFO) at Varanasi or Pune office
• Initial probation period of 3 months

Portfolio Requirement

• Submission of a work portfolio or showreel showcasing cinematic editing, OTT/film projects, or related content is mandatory.
