JURY MANAGER

DEPARTMENT: Elkhart County Judiciary

HIRING RANGE: $2695.47-2995.07/biweekly based on education and position related experience. Longevity pay after 3 years.

BENEFITS OFFERED:

HOURS & DAYS OF WORK: Monday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

LOCATION OF POSITION: Elkhart County Judicial Building

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: None

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for directing and overseeing all functions of jury management, administering jury system, generating, printing, and processing preliminary juror qualification postcards, questionnaires, summons and reports, and delivering sufficient, qualified panel of jurors while strictly adhering to Indiana Code, Supreme Court Jury Rules, and local judicial policy.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Baccalaureate degree in criminal justice, social work, public administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Thorough knowledge of standard practices and procedures of the Court, legal terminology, Indiana Code, Supreme Court Jury Rules, and local judicial policies
• Working knowledge of and ability to make practical use of jury questionnaires, summonses, statistical reports, and Court documents
• Excellent organizational and communication skills and a sound knowledge of office procedures and practices
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen
