K-2 Teacher Assistant @Pactolus

Position Summary

The K–2 Teacher Assistant supports classroom teachers in providing a safe, engaging, and effective learning environment for students in kindergarten through second grade. The Teacher Assistant works collaboratively with classroom teachers to support instruction, student learning, behavior management, and daily classroom operations while fostering the academic and social-emotional growth of young learners.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Assist the classroom teacher with instructional activities and small-group or individual student support.

Support classroom management and reinforce school and classroom expectations.

Help prepare instructional materials and maintain an organized classroom environment.

Supervise students during classroom activities and other assigned school settings.

Provide support for students with academic, behavioral, or social-emotional needs.

Assist with monitoring student progress and maintaining appropriate records as directed.

Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.

Perform additional duties as assigned by administration.
