K-5 Math & English Teacher

ABOUT

Spark Learn Tutoring is looking for passionate and experienced Math tutors who are looking to work with kids in grades K-12. You will be responsible for planning and providing appropriate learning experiences for students. Provide an atmosphere and an environment conducive to the intellectual, social, and emotional development of individuals to ensure success for every student.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a tutor you should be comfortable with teaching and helping students with the following courses:

• Grade KG - 5 Mathematics AND/OR
• Grades K-5 English (NOTE: Reading and writing specialists with certification are preferred and will be given priority.)

Please note that you must be comfortable with all grade levels and math classes posted above.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A passion for helping students achieve their goals.
• Prior teaching experience and/or student teaching is preferred.
• Possesses outstanding knowledge and skill in the assigned instructional area and demonstrates enthusiasm for teaching and the learning process.
• Experience working directly with individuals and families from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Emotionally mature, objective, and sensitive to people and their concerns. Able to handle responsibility, work independently, and maintain collaborative working relationships with students, families, administration, staff, co-workers, and community agencies.
• Must be willing to update gradebooks for classes on a regular basis, report and fix mistakes with question banks, as well as provide feedback on Company curriculum and processes.
• Masters Degree minimum, Doctorate degreehighly preferred.
• Experience working with Canvas Learning Management System, preferred.
• Must be able to teach Elementary, Middle, and High School Level Courses including the ones mentioned above.

COMPENSATION

• We generally pay between $24 - $28 per hour depending on your experience, availability, education.

• What is your weekly availability? We are looking for someone with minimum 15 hours of availability per week, (M-F) after 3pm EST - 9pm EST.
• Are you comfortable teaching K-5 Math and/or English? Please specify which one you are most comfortable with
• Are you able to teach at least 8-15 hours per week on Monday through Friday from 3pm - 9pm EST? Note: Availability does not have to be consecutive, however, we are looking for candidates who are able to have a total of 8-15 hours per week. Weekends are available and optional for all teachers.
