K-5 Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners, fostering their academic and social development. This position involves developing lesson plans, implementing educational activities, and assessing student progress while ensuring a positive classroom atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Utilize learning technology to enhance the educational experience.
• Assess student performance through standardized testing and provide feedback for improvement.
• Support early intervention strategies for students requiring additional assistance.
• Foster a love of learning by incorporating creative teaching methods.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive educational environment.
• Maintain effective communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current in educational practices.
• Provide library services and resources to support student learning.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles, including special education needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field; CDA or equivalent in experience.
• Experience in early childhood education is a plus.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and education administration practices.
• Familiarity with special education strategies and resources is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom that respects diversity among students.
• Passion for educating young minds and contributing positively to their growth.
