Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for K-8 students across various subjects including literacy education, math, physical education, and special education needs.
  • Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other learning technology tools to enhance student engagement and track progress effectively.
  • Create a positive classroom environment through effective behavior management strategies and inclusive teaching practices tailored to students with autism or other special needs.
  • Conduct assessments, standardized testing preparations, and provide individualized tutoring or academic advising to support diverse learning styles.
  • Incorporate creative writing techniques and hands-on activities to foster critical thinking, literacy skills, and childhood development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and school-wide initiatives to ensure consistency and high-quality education delivery.
  • Engage with parents and guardians through clear communication skills to discuss student progress, behavior management strategies, and educational goals.

Experience

  • Proven classroom experience working with children from early childhood through middle school levels in both private school settings and public education environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across core subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and special education disciplines including behavior management and working with individuals with autism.
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms, learning technology tools, standardized testing procedures, and educational administration practices.
  • Experience in preschool or early childhood education, Montessori methods, or childhood development is highly desirable.
  • Strong classroom management skills complemented by the ability to adapt teaching strategies for diverse learners including students with disabilities or behavioral challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and community stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of tutoring techniques, academic advising methods, and experience implementing inclusive teaching practices that promote equitable learning opportunities. Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
