Position Title: Kannada Teacher (Primary / Middle / Secondary)
Department: Academics – Languages
Reports to: Academic Coordinator / Head of Department
Location: Budigere, Bengaluru (Mandur)
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

The Kannada Teacher is responsible for delivering effective Kannada language instruction, fostering reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, and promoting appreciation of Kannada literature, culture, and values. The role supports language proficiency while nurturing cultural awareness and communication skills among students.

Key ResponsibilitiesCurriculum Planning & Delivery

  • Plan and deliver Kannada lessons as per the prescribed curriculum and grade-level requirements.
  • Develop lesson plans, worksheets, and learning resources aligned with learning objectives.
  • Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing skills, and oral communication.
  • Integrate stories, poems, plays, and cultural texts into classroom instruction.

Teaching & Learning

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Differentiate instruction to support varied language proficiency levels.
  • Encourage students to communicate confidently in Kannada.
  • Use age-appropriate teaching strategies, activities, and technology.

Assessment & Feedback

  • Conduct formative and summative assessments as per school guidelines.
  • Evaluate students’ written and oral work and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide constructive feedback to support continuous language development.
  • Prepare students for examinations and assessments.

Student Development & Support

  • Support students who require additional help in language acquisition.
  • Encourage participation in debates, recitations, dramatics, and cultural activities.
  • Promote values, ethics, and appreciation of Kannada heritage.
  • Collaborate with special educators when required.

Professional Responsibilities

  • Participate in academic planning, staff meetings, and professional development.
  • Maintain discipline and uphold school policies and code of conduct.
  • Communicate student progress effectively with parents during PTMs.
  • Support school events, celebrations, and cultural programmes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Kannada / Education.
  • Teaching qualification (B.Ed / D.Ed preferred).
  • 2–5 years of teaching experience as a Kannada teacher.
  • Strong command over written and spoken Kannada.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,540.64 - ₹30,000.00 per month
