Duties

• Provide attentive daily care for animals housed in kennels, including feeding, watering, cleaning, and monitoring their health status.
• Maintaining cleanliness of treatment areas using aseptic techniques.
• Handle a variety of animals including dogs, cats, and pocket pets, demonstrating excellent animal handling skills and knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy.
• Maintain kennel and hospital cleanliness by disinfecting cages, bedding, and common areas regularly to promote a hygienic environment aligned with veterinary standards.
• Support front desk operations by managing pet boarding check-ins/check-outs, and providing friendly customer service to pet owners.

Qualifications

• Previous kennel experience or animal husbandry background is a must!
• Familiarity with veterinary terminology, laboratory procedures, and clinical protocols is advantageous.
• Experience with animal restraint techniques, medication administration, and pet care is essential.
• Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and procedures enhances your ability to provide comprehensive care.
• Strong animal handling skills across different species including dogs, cats, and pocket pets ability to work efficiently with animals.
• Ability to follow aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection or contamination.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with veterinary team members and providing clear instructions to pet owners.
