Our service portfolio spans Drayage, Transloading, Trucking, and Intermodal — and our customer base includes some of the most sophisticated players in global trade, including Freight Forwarders, NVOCCs, and BCOs. As a Key Account Manager, you will be selling solutions to decision-makers who demand expertise, reliability, and a true service partner — not just a vendor. This is a newly formed group — and that is a big deal. You will not be stepping into a rigid, pre-defined structure. You will be getting in on the ground floor of something being built with intention, energy, and the full backing of USMML leadership. At USMML, our Key Account Managers are not order-takers — they are the architects of the customer relationship. From the first call to long-term retention, you own the account end to end. What We're Looking For
· A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required — we hire for drive and train for skill. If you have the right attitude and work ethic, we will invest in the rest
· Entry-level candidates and experienced professionals alike — we will train the right person and invest in your growth from Day 1
· Hunger, drive, and a competitive mindset — the candidates who thrive here are self-motivated, accountable, and passionate about winning
· A proven interest or track record in building and growing customer relationships from first contact through long-term retention
· Comfort and confidence working in an inside sales environment, with the drive and ambition to grow into outside sales — including travel of approximately 10–25% annually as your book matures
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills — you can present confidently, communicate proactively, and build trust quickly
· Interest or experience in Drayage, Transloading, Trucking, and/or Intermodal logistics
· Familiarity with or eagerness to learn the dynamics of selling to Freight Forwarders, NVOCCs, and BCOs — understanding their unique needs is a significant advantage
· Strong computer skills across MS Office, cloud-based applications, and TMS platforms
· Critical thinking, negotiation skills, and a solutions-first mindset — we solve problems before customers ask the question
· Strong work ethic and reliability — we work hard, we win together, and we take care of each other; teammates, customers, and carriers are all part of the USMML family
