Key Account Manager - Marine

Job Summary

The Key Account Manager handles just a few customers, however will handle multiple orders, with multiple suppliers at one time. They are responsible for ensuring that the customer is informed about all matters affecting their order. The goal is that each order is fulfilled on time and in full. The account manager must adapt to a rapidly changing schedule and customer requirements.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Fulfill marine orders in the most efficient and organized way.
• Maintain optimal inventory stocking levels based on historical patterns and lead times.
• Manage and properly address inventory stock-outs and complaints.
• Provide the marine customer with relevant information relating to stock availability and any extra costs.
• Ability to reconcile month end inventory.
• Provide timely information on order/delivery progress and taking proactive and cost effective steps to mitigate any difficulties with meeting customer requirements.
• Provide logistics/port restriction information to the customer.
• Responsible for ensuring that all completed delivery documents have been received and sent to customer accurately and on time.
• Work closely with operations to handle logistics of each order.
• Communicates well with others orally and in writing. Must be able to handle a high volume of electronic communication.

Qualifications and Skills

Requirements

• Experience required in account management or customer service, where knowledge of shipping and distribution is a benefit.
• Demonstrates ability to manage detailed and fast-paced workloads.
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
• Able to meet deadlines through good time management and allocation of priorities.
• Technical knowledge of International Marine products and services would be beneficial.
• Strong service orientation - demonstrating the ability to set and maintain high standards of customer service, actively looking for ways to satisfy the customer.
• Fluent in the English language, both oral and written is mandatory

Pay: $48,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
