Job Purpose

The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing strategic/key customer accounts, building long-term partnerships, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving revenue growth through structured account planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities Account Management

  • Manage and nurture assigned key accounts to ensure long-term business relationships.
  • Act as the single point of contact for key customers.
  • Understand customer business needs and align company solutions accordingly.
  • Ensure timely order processing, delivery coordination, and issue resolution.

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Helping to achieve sales targets and revenue objectives for assigned accounts.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Prepare and execute account growth plans.
  • Monitor payment cycles and ensure timely collections.

Client Relationship & Engagement

  • Conduct regular client meetings, reviews, and business discussions.
  • Handle escalations professionally and ensure quick resolution.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction and retention levels.

Coordination & Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with sales ops, marketing, supply chain, service, and finance teams.
  • Share market feedback, competitor insights, and customer trends.
  • Support new product launches and promotional activities.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare weekly/monthly sales and account performance reports.
  • Track KPIs such as revenue, growth, collections, and customer engagement.
  • Maintain accurate CRM and customer records.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • MBA (Sales/Marketing) preferred
  • Relevant experience in B2B / Channel / Dealer Management (industry-specific if required)
