Job Title: Kids Camp Counselor

Schedule: Full-time seasonal (approx. 40 hours/week)
Season: Summer 2026
Pay: Competitive, based on experience

Camp Dates & Hours:
8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

• July 6-10
• July 13-17
• July 20-24
• July 27-31
• August 10-14
• August 17-21
  Must be available the week prior for orientation, training, and setup.

Role Summary

Kids Camp Counselors create a fun, safe, and memorable summer experience for young Oak Hill members. This role is perfect for enthusiastic, responsible individuals who enjoy working with children and want hands‑on experience in a dynamic camp setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise groups of up to 25 campers while maintaining a calm, positive presence
• Lead daily sports, games, and team‑building activities
• Participate in all camp activities alongside campers
• Support scheduled specialty sessions (Golf, Tennis, Aquatics, Culinary, etc.)
• Assist with camp setup, organization, and room preparation
• Provide a fun, encouraging, and safe environment for all campers
• Conduct daily check-in/check-out with parents and guardians
• Communicate professionally with members when needed
• Ensure each camper has necessary supplies for the day/week
• Help resolve camper conflicts with patience and professionalism
• Understand and follow all camp safety and emergency procedures
• This list outlines the primary duties, but additional reasonable tasks may be assigned as needed.

What You Bring / Qualifications

• Enjoy working with children and supporting their learning and fun
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
• Patience, attentiveness, and a positive, caring personality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Working toward a degree in Education, Physical Education, Sports or Recreation Management preferred
• Experience in camps, youth programs, babysitting, or childcare preferred
• Ability to pass required background screening
• Minimum age: 18 years old

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and be active for 8+ hours
• Ability to bend, kneel, push, and pull during activities
• Work outdoors in sun, heat, and varying weather conditions
• Reliable transportation to and from work

Licenses & Certifications

• Valid driver's license
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
