Kids Club Bus Driver

In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting children to our Public and Private School locations and from our Kids Club programs, ensuring their well-being and fostering a safe environment at all times. Duties

• Safely operate the bus along designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
• Assist children boarding and exiting the bus, ensuring proper supervision and care during transit meeting all Quality Rated and State Requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained vehicle to promote a safe environment
• Monitor children’s behavior during transportation, applying positive behavior management techniques as needed
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and staff regarding transportation schedules or concerns
• Follow all safety procedures related to first aid, emergency response, and vehicle maintenance
• Support the overall safety and well-being of children with special needs or disabilities by implementing appropriate accommodations

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with passenger endorsement or willingness to obtain one prior to employment
• Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or early childhood education preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-appropriate behavior management strategies
• First aid certification and CPR training are highly desirable
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
• Ability to maintain professionalism, patience, and enthusiasm while engaging with young children during transportation
