Position Overview

Thrive Tutoring is seeking a warm, engaging, and experienced Pre-K Tutor to support a four year old (and eventially younger sibling) in Spring Valley, CA. This role focuses on kindergarten readiness, early learning foundations, and enrichment-based activities through play, creativity, and structured exploration.

This is an ideal opportunity for an early childhood educator who loves working with young children and can create a fun, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based lessons focused on early literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development
• Support kindergarten readiness skills for the 4-year-old
• Incorporate enrichment activities such as art, sensory play, and hands-on learning
• Provide age-appropriate interaction and stimulation for the 1-year-old
• Adapt lessons based on each child’s developmental stage and needs
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress and activities
• Maintain a positive, patient, and nurturing learning environment

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in early childhood education, preschool teaching, or tutoring
• Strong understanding of early childhood development (ages 0–5)
• Experience with kindergarten readiness and foundational skill-building
• Ability to create engaging, structured, yet playful lessons
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to the student’s home
