Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Kindergarten Teacher who is interested and able to also spearhead our upcoming addition of a School-Age Classroom at our facility. We are looking for individuals who will inspire and nurture our young learners during their foundational years. In this vital role, you will create a vibrant, engaging classroom environment that promotes early childhood development when appropriate according to the age of your students, while also incorporating literacy, numeracy, social skills, and emotional well-being with our older students who will be enrolled in our School-Age Program. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help shape the educational journey of our students from the beginning of their academic district learning through the most formative years of their childhood development; thus fostering a love for learning that will last a lifetime. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, as well as school age standards. This includes designing a curriculum for our students that supports development in literacy, math, science, arts, and physical education.
  • Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages age appropriate curiosity, creativity, and collaboration among students and peers.
  • Utilize a high standard of learning technology and incorporate educational resources to enhance teaching effectiveness and student engagement.
  • Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies to ensure a productive learning atmosphere.
  • Conduct assessments and standardized testing to monitor student progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
  • Provide individualized support and tutoring to students requiring additional help, including those with special needs or autism spectrum disorder.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists such as speech therapists or early intervention professionals to support each child's unique development plan.
  • Incorporate library services and literacy education strategies to foster reading skills and a love of books.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development in areas such as Montessori methods, behavior management, childhood development, and early intervention techniques to create a structured and well controlled learning atmosphere.
  • Mentor new teachers or teaching assistants by sharing best practices in classroom management and curriculum delivery, and enhance team building & growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavioral reports in compliance with education administration standards, as well as Title 22 along with any Elementary District Regulations .
  • Proofread instructional materials for clarity and accuracy before use in lessons, homework packets, and parent communications, while also keeping your Admin Department fully notified of daily classroom activities and areas of concern.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Childhood Development, or a comparable and related fields pertaining to Elementary School's Educational Requirements; while also staying active in advanced certifications such as Montessori Training along with Socio-Economic Mannerisms & Tolerances are very much preferred.
  • Proven fieldwork and classroom experience working with children in a preschool, kindergarten, or school-age setting.
  • Having a strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and school-age academics with an emphasis on curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, and behavior management techniques.
  • Experience working with children with special needs or autism spectrum disorder is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with learning technology tools and digital educational resources to enhance lesson delivery,mand equip our students with a basic knowledge of technical advancement skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, colleagues, and specialists.
  • Ability to plan engaging lessons that meet diverse learning styles while maintaining classroom discipline through positive reinforcement strategies.
  • Experience with standardized testing procedures and assessment tools for early learners.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor peers or new teachers within an educational environment, that builds team unity and a healthy work ethic.
  • Knowledge of library services related to early childhood & school-age literacy programs is a plus.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
