Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students who are non verbal challenged . This role involves working with students who are non verbal. Knowledge of Autism is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the individual needs of students.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to foster a positive learning atmosphere.
• Conduct standardized testing and assessments to evaluate student progress.
• Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and parents to support student development.
• Provide direct instruction and support to students with various disabilities.
• Utilize behavioral therapy techniques as needed to assist students in achieving their goals.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles.
• Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills.

Skills

• Strong lesson planning abilities that cater to diverse learning needs.
• Excellent classroom management skills to maintain a conducive learning environment.
• Familiarity with standardized testing protocols and assessment strategies.
• Experience working with students with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders.
• Proficient in proofreading educational materials for clarity and accuracy.
• Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques applicable in educational settings.
• Experience working with children in various educational contexts, including Montessori or deaf education settings is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively with families and professionals to support student success.

Pay: $69,275.00 - $75,100.00 per year
