Job Summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or demonstrated equivalency of experience
• Previous experience in teaching or tutoring
• Proficiency in literacy education and math instruction tailored for young children.
• Effective behavior management techniques to address classroom challenges.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy education and math skills.
• Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
• Utilize effective behavior management strategies to maintain a conducive learning atmosphere.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing individualized support as needed.
• Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support the learning community.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior.

Additional Information

• Relocation assistance is not available for this role. Candidates must already reside in the New York City area.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
