Kindergarten Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Kindergarten Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in their foundational years. Duties

  • Design and implement creative, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy education, math, and social skills.
  • Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective behavior management and classroom management techniques that encourage respect, cooperation, and curiosity.
  • Support children with diverse needs by integrating special education strategies, working with individuals with autism, and providing early intervention when necessary.
  • Incorporate learning technology and library services to enhance educational experiences and promote literacy development.
  • Assess student progress regularly through formative and standardized testing; provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
  • Mentor new teachers or teaching assistants by sharing best practices in curriculum development, teaching physical education, and classroom organization.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum enhancements that incorporate Montessori or other specialized educational philosophies.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of student activities, progress reports, and classroom records in compliance with education administration standards.

Skills

  • Proven experience in classroom management, lesson planning, and working with young children in early childhood education settings.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Expertise in childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and working with individuals with autism or special needs.
  • Knowledge of learning technology tools, standardized testing procedures, tutoring methods, and literacy education strategies.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods for private school environments or early intervention programs; familiarity with Montessori methodologies is a plus.
  • Excellent writing skills for creating clear lesson plans, progress reports, and educational materials.
  • Demonstrated mentoring abilities to support fellow educators in curriculum development or classroom practices. Pay: $36,000.00 - $52,522.65 per year
