Kitchen and Bath Designer and Salesperson

Five Lakes Kitchen and Bath is a growing, family-owned kitchen and bath remodeling company seeking an experienced Kitchen and Bath Designer and Salesperson to join our studio in Rochester Hills, MI.

This full-time position is a collaborative role working closely with the studio and field teams on kitchen and bath design, custom woodwork design, client communication, vendor relations, project coordination, and sales support. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, structured, and committed to delivering an exceptional client experience from concept through completion.

Position Overview

This role combines design, sales, and project coordination responsibilities. The Kitchen and Bath Designer and Salesperson will assist in developing functional and aesthetically thoughtful designs, manage client communications, vendor interfacing, coordinate orders and scheduling, and help ensure projects move smoothly through each phase.

The studio is appointment-based, with occasional walk-in clients. A professional presence, reliability and strong customer service skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team on kitchen and bath designs, revisions, and presentations
  • Meet with clients in the studio and in their homes for consultations and site visits
  • Travel locally to partner vendors and industry-related events for consultation, material selection, and meetings as needed to support project planning and education
  • Obtain accurate field measurements and review architectural plans as needed
  • Prepare quotes and assist clients through the design, selection, and purchasing phases in accordance with approved processes
  • Place, verify, and track material orders and timelines
  • Coordinate deliveries and installation scheduling
  • Collaborate with office staff, owner(s), project managers and installers/subcontractors
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage personal calendar and assist in coordinating the studio schedule
  • Support ongoing projects to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and client satisfaction
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current design trends, products, and materials to provide expert guidance to clients
  • Prepare detailed project documentation, including specifications and timelines, to ensure smooth workflow and client satisfaction
  • Proficiency in and maintenance of CRM software
  • Participate in other responsibilities or special projects as assigned by leadership

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 5–7 years of kitchen and bath design experience (Required)
  • Proficiency in 20/20 Design Software (Required) / Chief Architect experience helpful
  • Strong understanding of cabinetry brands and product specifications
  • Accuracy in design development, quotation and order entry
  • Ability to read construction drawings and obtain site measurements
  • Professional demeanor, appearance, and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Willingness to travel locally for in-home consultations and site visits
  • Willingness to travel locally to partner vendors and industry-related events
  • Availability to respond to client communications during standard business hours

Compensation

Compensation is negotiable and based on experience.
Bonus and/or commission opportunities available based on projects closed.

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
