The Kitchen Designer and Sales professional is responsible for working with customers to design customized kitchen layouts and providing product recommendations. They will drive sales by understanding customer needs, presenting design solutions, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves both creative design and the sales of kitchen/bathroom products (cabinets, countertops, appliances, etc.). Fluent in English / Spanish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consultation and Design:
- Welcoming customers and discuss their needs, preferences, and project goals.
- Create design concepts that meet functional and aesthetic needs.
- Use design software (e.g., 20/20, Prokitchen) to create detailed layouts, 3D renderings, and drawings.
- Recommend materials, and layouts that align with the client’s budget and vision.
- Present and modify design ideas based on customer feedback.
- Sales:
- Provide product knowledge and upsell kitchen products such as cabinets, countertops, and appliances.
- Manage the sales process from initial consultation through final installation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients to drive repeat business and referrals.
- Handle all aspects of the sale including pricing, invoicing, and coordinating installation schedules.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
- Assist customers in product selection, pricing, and budget management.
- Customer Service:
- Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining clear communication during all stages of the design and installation process.
- Resolve any customer concerns or issues regarding designs, products, or installations.
- Follow up with clients post-installation to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback.
- Ensure all documentation (orders, contracts, invoices) is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Marketing and Promotion:
- Promote and advertise new product lines or sales events to drive foot traffic and customer interest.
- Assist in creating promotional materials or presentations for clients.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in kitchen design, sales, or a related field.
- Experience with design software (20/20, ProKitchen.) preferred.
- Knowledge of kitchen products and materials is highly desirable.
- Experience with sales targets and customer relationship management.
- Skills:
- Strong design and visualization skills, with an eye for detail and aesthetics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in using computers, design software, and point-of-sale systems.
- Customer-focused with a proven ability to close sales and meet goals.
Working Conditions:
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 to 2:00PM
- Environment: Retail showroom or office-based
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet client schedules.

- Base salary plus commission on sales.
