Kitchen Assistant (Part Time / Seasonal)

Part-Time Hours Available in Two Roles:

  • Dinner Cook – Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday, approximately 2pm–7pm
  • Kitchen Assistant – Part-time hours based on your schedule

Qualifications

  • Experience with large quantity meal preparation helpful but not required
  • Flexibility, teamwork, and a positive attitude
  • ServSafe certification prior to or upon hiring
  • Background check required

Duties

  • Maintains a clean and safe kitchen space
  • Assists with preparation and service of nourishing meals for the camp community
  • Supports menu preparation as directed by the Kitchen Manager or Camp Directors
  • Follows Wisconsin Department of Health Services Codes and American Camping Association Food Safety standards
  • Communicates with kitchen staff and camp leadership regarding plans and needs for meal preparation
  • Assists in providing hospitality to campers and guests with food allergies and dietary restrictions

Additional InformationWe value quality meals for our guests as part of our comprehensive hospitality. Our food philosophy highlights diverse, nutritious, recognizable foods that appeal to a wide range of individuals. Though we host a majority of children, our menu goes beyond "kid food." We aim to serve family style to promote community, table manners, and the experience of a family meal. We provide, but campers decide, we give campers autonomy over what they eat.
