Fat Shack is a fast-casual restaurant known for our legendary burgers and fat sandwiches. Our Seattle location runs a high-energy, high-volume kitchen — especially on weekends when we run until 3AM. We need skilled kitchen staff who can keep up and deliver consistently under pressure.

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Kitchen Associate who knows their way around a commercial kitchen and can execute at speed without sacrificing quality. This is not an entry-level position. You should already know how to work a grill, fryer, and prep station — and do it well when the tickets are stacking up.

You’ll be working alongside a tight crew in a fast-paced environment. We need someone who shows up, performs, and holds the standard every shift.

What You’ll Do

∙ Execute food orders accurately and efficiently during high-volume service

∙ Work grill, fryer, prep, and line stations as needed

∙ Maintain food quality and portion standards on every order

∙ Keep your station clean, organized, and stocked throughout your shift

∙ Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols without being reminded

∙ Communicate clearly with teammates to keep the kitchen running smoothly

∙ Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

∙ Experienced line cook level — you’ve worked a high-volume kitchen and can prove it

∙ Proficiency on grill, fryer, and prep stations

∙ Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards

∙ Ability to stay calm, focused, and fast when it gets busy

∙ Reliable — we need people who show up on time, every time

∙ Night and weekend availability is non-negotiable — this is a late-night operation

∙ Current Food Handler’s Permit and MAST permit

Schedule

∙ Flexible scheduling available

∙ Must be available for evening and late-night shifts

∙ Weekend night availability is required — no exceptions

Compensation

∙ $21.30/hour
