Kitchen & Bath / Cabinetry Designer

Kitchen & Bath / Cabinetry Designer

High-End Showroom | Strong Leads | $90K–$160K+ Potential

Priano | Tampa, FL | Full-Time

Design serious projects. Sell in a showroom built to close.

Priano is looking for an experienced Kitchen, Bath & Cabinetry Designer who can do more than create beautiful layouts. We are looking for someone who can sit across from high-end clients, understand their vision, design with confidence, present professionally, and close complete projects.

This is not an entry-level design role. This is a career opportunity for a designer who already knows how to sell cabinetry, kitchens, baths, and interior finish projects — and wants a better platform, better clients, better support, and higher earning potential.

Priano is home to one of the most sophisticated interior design centers in the Southeast. Our 20,000-square-foot Tampa showroom was purpose-built for designers, builders, trade professionals, and discerning homeowners. It features premium cabinetry, appliances, flooring, countertops, and interior finishes in an environment designed to help clients say yes.

Our projects are not small-ticket, one-off cabinet orders. We work with serious homeowners, custom builders, designers, and luxury developers on projects typically ranging from $50,000 to $120,000+, with many well into six figures. Our team has delivered tens of millions of dollars in completed cabinetry work, including multiple $300,000+ cabinetry installations.

If you are a strong designer who can also sell, Priano gives you the showroom, support, and opportunity to perform at a high level.

Why This Role Is Different

Most design jobs ask you to do everything: sell, design, chase paperwork, coordinate orders, solve installation issues, manage client expectations, and clean up after weak operations.

This role is different.

At Priano, you are supported by an operations team, cabinetry project managers, purchasing support, and field coordination. Your primary responsibility is to design, sell, build relationships, and guide clients confidently through the process.

You will still need to be detail-oriented and involved through completion — great designers care about the outcome — but you will not be alone trying to carry every operational detail yourself.

What You’ll Do

As a Kitchen, Bath & Cabinetry Designer, you will:

  • Meet with homeowners, builders, designers, and trade professionals to understand project goals, budget, style, and scope.
  • Design kitchens, baths, cabinetry, built-ins, and related interior spaces using 2020 Design and/or ProKitchen.
  • Present designs, layouts, finishes, and proposals confidently to clients.
  • Sell complete projects — not just cabinet boxes or isolated product orders.
  • Guide clients from concept through signed contract and final project completion.
  • Build and maintain relationships with builders, remodelers, designers, architects, and homeowners.
  • Manage your sales pipeline with consistent follow-up and strong closing discipline.
  • Coordinate with project managers, purchasing, operations, and installation teams to ensure projects are executed properly.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, selections, drawings, pricing, and project notes.
  • Protect the client experience from first consultation through final installation.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who has already proven they can sell and design at a high level.

Required Experience

You should have:

  • Proven experience designing and selling kitchens, baths, cabinetry, or high-end interior finish projects.
  • A strong portfolio of completed kitchen, bath, cabinetry, or luxury residential work.
  • Proficiency in 2020 Design or ProKitchen.
  • Experience selling complete installed projects, not just product-only orders.
  • The ability to confidently present to high-end clients.
  • Strong understanding of cabinetry layouts, functionality, measurements, appliance integration, and installation realities.
  • Excellent follow-up habits and the ability to manage a pipeline.
  • A track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Professional communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Experience

Strong candidates may also have:

  • Experience in a premium showroom, luxury remodeling, custom cabinetry, or high-end residential design environment.
  • NKBA certification or similar industry credentials.
  • Familiarity with custom cabinetry lines, semi-custom cabinetry, luxury appliances, countertops, flooring, and interior finishes.
  • Existing relationships with builders, remodelers, designers, architects, or past clients.
  • A personal book of business or referral network.
  • Experience selling projects in the $50K–$150K+ range.

Who Will Thrive Here

You may be a strong fit if:

  • You are a designer who can sell, not a salesperson pretending to design.
  • You know how to lead a client through decisions without overwhelming them.
  • You understand that beautiful design still has to be buildable, profitable, and properly documented.
  • You take ownership of your projects and your income.
  • You are comfortable working with affluent homeowners, builders, and design professionals.
  • You want access to larger projects and a showroom that elevates your credibility.
  • You are motivated by performance-based income and uncapped earning potential.

Who This Role Is Not For

This is probably not the right fit if:

  • You are looking for an entry-level design position.
  • You prefer design work only and do not want to sell.
  • You struggle with follow-up, pipeline management, or closing.
  • You are uncomfortable discussing budget, pricing, or project scope with clients.
  • You need heavy supervision to stay organized.
  • You have not sold complete kitchen, bath, cabinetry, or installed interior finish projects before.

Compensation

This is a commission-based role designed for experienced designers who want their income to reflect their performance.

Top performers earn $90,000–$160,000+.

For the right candidate, Priano offers a structured ramp-up package during the transition period. Details will be discussed during the interview process.

There is no cap on earnings.

Priano offers:

  • Medical insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • Employee discounts
  • Access to a premium showroom environment
  • Support from an experienced operations and project management team
