Duties

• Collaborate with customers to understand their needs, preferences, and budgets for kitchen and bathroom projects
• Create detailed layout designs using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to visualize concepts clearly
• Present product demos and explain features of cabinetry, fixtures, lighting solutions, and remodeling options
• Upsell premium products and services by highlighting value-added features that enhance the overall design
• Negotiate pricing, project timelines, and scope of work to ensure customer satisfaction while meeting sales targets
• Assist customers with inside sales activities including POS (Point of Sale) transactions, cash handling, and retail math calculations
• Manage account details through effective organization skills and maintain strong relationships with clients for repeat business
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution from start to finish
• Provide ongoing customer service support post-sale, including maintenance advice and troubleshooting during remodeling or renovation projects
• Promote lighting sales by advising on lighting design solutions that complement interior aesthetics and functionality

Qualifications

• Proven experience in outside sales and/or inside sales within the renovation, construction, or retail environment
• Strong proficiency in CAD software (ProKitchen or ChiefArchitect) tools to develop accurate layouts and visualizations
• Excellent negotiation skills combined with the ability to upsell high-end products confidently
• Knowledge of remodeling processes, construction standards, and maintenance practices related to kitchens and bathrooms
• Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written—to clearly convey ideas and build rapport with clients
• Organizational skills necessary for managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
• Familiarity with POS systems, retail math, merchandising strategies, marketing techniques, and product demos is highly desirable
• A passion for interior design combined with a strong understanding of lighting sales and layout design principles
