Kitchen Cabinet Designer

Woodhaven Custom Cabinets is seeking a highly skilled Kitchen and Bath Designer with a strong background in luxury custom residential design to join our team. This role is best suited for a designer who understands the level of detail, coordination, and design excellence required for custom homes in the $1M–$3M+ range.

We are looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and refined design sensibility, with the ability to lead clients through a thoughtful and elevated design process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead clients through the kitchen and bath design process from concept through final installation
  • Develop highly detailed, custom kitchen and bath designs that balance aesthetics, functionality, and architectural intent
  • Collaborate closely with homeowners, builders, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution
  • Produce comprehensive drawing sets including plans, elevations, and construction details
  • Specify cabinetry, appliances, finishes, and lighting in alignment with the overall design vision
  • Manage design revisions while maintaining alignment with project budgets and timelines
  • Conduct site visits for field verification and coordination with trades
  • Present design concepts in a clear, professional, and compelling manner
  • Stay current with high-end design trends, materials, and innovations

Qualifications

  • Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field required
  • 3–7+ years of experience in residential kitchen design, preferably in custom or luxury homes
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating high-end residential work and attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in design software such as 2020, SketchUp, Chief Architect, or AutoCAD
  • Deep understanding of cabinetry construction, space planning, and kitchen functionality
  • Ability to produce accurate drawings and coordinate with fabrication teams
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with discerning clients
  • Knowledge of residential building practices, codes, and construction sequencing

What Sets This Role Apart

This is not a production-based design role. Our projects require a designer who can think critically, design intentionally, and operate at a high level alongside builders and homeowners who expect exceptional results.

Ideal Candidate

You are detail-oriented, design-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment. You take pride in delivering thoughtful, well-executed designs and understand the level of precision required in custom home building.
