Kitchen Design & Sales Consultant

About JW Metal Cabinets

JW Metal Cabinets is a leading manufacturer of premium stainless steel cabinetry for residential, commercial, and outdoor kitchen applications. For more than 20 years, we've combined advanced manufacturing, engineering expertise, and innovative design to create cabinetry solutions that are unlike anything else in the market.

Our products are used in luxury outdoor kitchens, custom residences, multifamily developments, restaurants, hospitality projects, and commercial environments across North America.

As demand continues to grow, we're seeking a motivated Kitchen Design & Sales Consultant to help clients transform ideas into beautiful, functional spaces.

The Opportunity

This position combines design, customer consultation, and sales into a rewarding career with significant earning potential.

You'll work directly with homeowners, contractors, builders, architects, designers, and commercial clients to develop kitchen layouts, create professional renderings, prepare quotations, and guide projects from concept to completion.

Unlike traditional custom cabinetry, our product line is built around engineered systems that simplify the design process while still allowing extensive customization. This enables you to focus on creating exceptional customer experiences and closing projects rather than getting bogged down in endless design revisions.

Most leads are generated through our marketing efforts, website inquiries, dealer network, and referral channels, allowing you to spend your time helping qualified customers rather than cold calling.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with prospective customers to understand project goals, requirements, budgets, and timelines.
  • Design kitchen and outdoor living spaces using 2020 Design, Cyncly Design Flex, or similar design software.
  • Create professional layouts, renderings, and presentations.
  • Prepare accurate project quotations and product recommendations.
  • Guide customers through the sales process from initial inquiry through project approval.
  • Follow up on open proposals and maintain an active sales pipeline.
  • Coordinate with engineering, production, and operations teams to ensure project accuracy and manufacturability.
  • Review drawings and specifications for completeness and accuracy.
  • Build relationships with builders, contractors, designers, architects, and repeat customers.
  • Maintain detailed project records within company systems.
  • Stay current on industry trends, appliances, outdoor living products, and kitchen design best practices.

Qualifications

Preferred Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in kitchen design, cabinetry, remodeling, outdoor living, interior design, architectural products, appliance sales, or related industries.
  • Experience using 2020 Design, Design Flex, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Chief Architect, or similar design software.
  • Previous sales or client-facing experience.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to interpret architectural plans and construction drawings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
