Kitchen Designer (Full-Time)

Pay: $18.00 – $30.00 per hour (based on experience)
Location: Raleigh, NC — In-person or Hybrid (must be local and available for on-site client meetings and field measures)

About Us

Wood + Water LLC is a growing cabinet and countertop distributor serving builders, contractors, and homeowners across the Triangle. We are seeking a mid-level Kitchen Designer with proven experience in cabinetry design and project management. This is not an entry-level role — applicants must have prior professional experience in kitchen design to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Create and present cabinetry designs and estimates using 20/20 or similar design software
• Conduct in-person customer consultations and guide clients through design selections
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously from design through completion
• Perform field measures and job evaluations to ensure accuracy
• Enter and process orders with precision and attention to detail
• Oversee showroom presentation and assist walk-in clients (when scheduled in-office)
• Coordinate with builders, contractors, and internal team members to meet project deadlines
• Schedule and track project milestones to ensure timely delivery

Required Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional kitchen design experience (required, not optional)
• Proficiency with 2020 Design software (or equivalent CAD/design platforms)
• Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with clients and trade partners
• High attention to detail and accuracy in measurements, orders, and documentation
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating with a team

Preferred Skills

• Experience in cabinetry sales, estimating, or related construction/design fields
• Knowledge of cabinetry brands, countertop materials, and installation processes
• Customer service background with a focus on consultative selling

Schedule

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
