Job Title: Designer, Kitchen and Bath Designer, Design Sales

Reports to: Studio Manager and Owner

Designers are responsible for managing and providing creative solutions for design projects (kitchen, bath, and any or all interior remodel or new construction) through selling the products that R Cabinet Studio offers (cabinetry, countertops, etc.) and associated design services to maximize profits and create an exciting and "unmatched personal shopping experience" for the client. It is the responsibility of the Designer to maintain client relationships throughout and after the project, ensure that customers/clients are billed accurately and on time, and that orders are executed accurately. The Designer will be the main contact for clients, from the collection of the retainer to the final walk-through at project completion. The Designer will also be responsible for collaborating with sales support personnel to offer an exceptional customer experience in all aspects of the project.

Detailed Responsibilities:

Provide design and job management for projects from start through completion that exceed client's expectations while maintaining budgetary limits.

Provide consultations and sales presentations at the Studio and or in the client's home/job site.

Prepare contracts.

Proactive lead generation and networking.

Know R Studio's sales goals and set personal goals to support overall Studio success to maximize profitability on all projects.

Maintain a competitive edge in the market and have a knowledge of competitor's positioning/products.

Maintain relationships with installers and subcontractors to ensure the best possible installations and reputation of the business.

Verify all "as-is measurements" on designs personally or with a subcontracted measure service .

Conduct "pre-construction" meetings on all projects with installers to ensure that proper materials are ordered, and installation fees are agreed upon prior to job start.

Produce an invoice for all billable work, i.e.: "Design hours", "Design Changes/Revisions", "Ordered Materials", "Additional Materials", or "Incorrectly/ Reordered Materials" to reconcile the final cost/profitability of projects for commission payout calculations.

Designers work on a "Draw against Commission" compensation plan and will be required to sign a "non-compete" business agreement with Studio Owner.

Designers will be required to work a minimum of one scheduled workday in the Studio each workweek and attend all regularly scheduled Staff/Sales meetings

Designers should send appropriate "Thank You" notes for business, leads/referrals. Any other "personal touches" such as birthdays wishes, or anniversary/congratulatory notes are encouraged!

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree is preferred.

Minimum 3 years of design and sale experience required.

Proficient in 2020 Design Software and Microsoft Office

Maintain knowledge of product and industry trends and developments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Remodeling & Fixtures Sales Associates: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Interior design or kitchen design: 3 years (Preferred)
  • 2020 or AutoCAD: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Preferred)
