Kitchen Electrician – UAE

Position Overview

A Kitchen Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in commercial kitchens, restaurants, and food service facilities. The technician ensures that all kitchen appliances and electrical connections operate safely and efficiently to support smooth daily operations and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, and repair electrical wiring, outlets, panels, and control systems in commercial kitchens.
• Connect and maintain kitchen electrical equipment such as ovens, fryers, grills, dishwashers, refrigerators, and coffee machines.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, short circuits, and power supply issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce electrical failures and equipment downtime.
• Ensure proper grounding, wiring, and electrical load balancing for high-power kitchen appliances.
• Replace or repair electrical components such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, and thermostats.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
• Comply with UAE safety codes and regulations for electrical and food service environments.
• Coordinate with maintenance and kitchen teams to perform repairs with minimal disruption to operations.
• Prepare service reports and recommend electrical system upgrades when needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen electrical systems, power distribution, and safety procedures.
• Ability to identify and repair electrical faults quickly and efficiently.
• Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment and control systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
