Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly, listen carefully to their needs, and provide personalized assistance with kitchen remodeling projects.
  • Demonstrate products including cabinetry, countertops, lighting fixtures, and accessories through engaging product demos.
  • Assist clients with layout design using SketchUp or CAD software to create accurate kitchen plans that meet their specifications.
  • Upsell complementary products and services by identifying customer needs and highlighting premium options such as lighting design or custom cabinetry.
  • Manage inside sales transactions using POS systems, handle cash and credit card payments accurately, and process customer orders efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the team to merchandise the showroom effectively, ensuring displays are attractive and organized to inspire customers.
  • Maintain product knowledge across renovation, construction, lighting sales, and interior design to confidently answer questions and support account management efforts.
  • Support marketing initiatives by promoting special offers or new product lines to enhance customer engagement.
  • Ensure the showroom remains clean, stocked with necessary materials, and adheres to safety standards related to maintenance and merchandising.

Experience

  • Prior experience in retail sales or inside sales within home improvement, renovation, or construction industries is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse clientele.
  • Familiarity with layout design software such as SketchUp or CAD enhances your ability to assist customers effectively.
  • Knowledge of high-end sales techniques including negotiation and upselling will help maximize customer satisfaction and store revenue.
  • Experience in lighting design, interior design, or remodeling projects provides valuable context for customer consultations.
  • Organizational skills are essential for managing multiple customer interactions while maintaining showroom presentation standards.
  • Basic math skills for handling retail math calculations, POS transactions, and merchandising tasks are required.
