Kitchen Steward

Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Steward to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will support kitchen operations by ensuring all utensils, equipment, and work areas are clean and organized in accordance with food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, workstations, and storage areas
• Assist in basic food preparation when required
• Handle waste disposal according to hygiene and safety standards
• Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and tools
• Support kitchen staff during peak hours
• Follow health, safety, and HACCP standards at all times

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward / Dishwasher is an advantage
• Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety standards
• Physically fit to stand for long hours and perform cleaning tasks
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Hardworking, punctual, and a team player
