Are you looking to add a significant milestone or achievement to your resume or just looking for an exciting new challenge? Sushi Rev is now hiring for a kitchen Leader/Trainer for our brand new revolving sushi concept, coming to Rowland Heights, California.

The right candidate is a leader; they are an anchor in the kitchen. This person is constantly training and building a team of trainers to help continue the success of Sushi Rev.

Qualified candidates will have experience cooking Japanese style cooked foods and have some sushi experience.

The qualified individual will bring his or her experience to our fully equipped kitchen. This person will be in charge of making sure we maximize food and labor costs that are generated from back-of-the-house operations and will be the right hand to the General Manager.

Trainers are coaches in our business, not just someone that watches and tells others what to do. Some of the essential job functions include:

  • Training and developing non-management staff.
  • Shadowing prep and line cooks to ensure proper techniques are used.
  • Coordinating staff and reviewing productions PARs to ensure the right amount of food is being prepared.
  • Schedules staff according to business volumes and needs.
  • Participates in management meetings and provides input to the operation.
  • Proactively learns new restaurant technology. Does not shy away from it.
  • Ensures employee meal and rest break compliance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 – 55 per week
