As we expand, we are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to lead our finance team and oversee the company’s accounting operations.

Role Overview

The Chief Accountant will be responsible for managing the accounting department, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing accurate financial reporting. This role requires leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with Qatari regulations and international accounting standards (IFRS).
• Manage internal controls, audits, and risk assessments.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, and revenue streams.
• Collaborate with senior management to support financial planning and strategy.
• Implement accounting systems and recommend process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or CMA certification preferred.
• 7–10 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
