Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Knife Sharpener to join our manufacturing team. Duties

• Sharpen, hone, and restore blades and cutting tools using hand tools, grinding machines, and automated sharpening equipment.
• Inspect knives and blades for damage, wear, or defects, ensuring they meet quality standards before use.
• Adjust sharpening angles and techniques based on material type and specific tool requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of sharpening activities, including tool identification, date, and condition assessments
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure precise sharpening and tool maintenance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in manufacturing or factory settings with a focus on machining, fabrication, or tooling maintenance.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in operating hand tools, grinding machines, press brake machines, stamping presses, and welding equipment
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during sharpening processes.
• Factory experience in manufacturing facilities with exposure to packaging, assembly lines, or warehouse operations is preferred.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
