Korean Speaking Medical Assistant

Metro Eye Care is a comprehensive ophthalmology and optometry practice with several locations in Bergen county. We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking individual looking to grow with our practice. You will work closely with patients and our team of physicians in all aspects of ophthalmic care, from cataract, glaucoma, and oculoplastic procedures/diagnostics and surgeries, to dry eye evaluations, glasses/contacts and routine eye exams.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Patient work-ups: Documenting patient medical history, medications chief complaint, instilling eye drops, checking vision, checking eye pressure, etc.
• Performing diagnostic testing: Visual Fields, OCTs, Refractions, iCare, Corneal topography etc.
• Filling/Re-filling medications, following through with prior authorizations, etc.
• Assisting and scribing with providers
• Additional administrative work

All candidates MUST be fluent in Korean, with the ability to translate for our patients in the Korean community. The right candidate will be flexible in their weekly work schedule, be ready to work in a fast-paced environment, have a strong work ethic and be the best team player. Saturday hours are required, 1 - 2 Saturdays per month.

Prior experience in a medical office or facility and familiarity with an EHR system are strongly recommended, but we are willing to train the right person with a great work ethic.

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
