Job Summary: The Director of Content will lead and manage our newsroom across broadcast, digital, streaming, and social platforms. This role requires both strategic vision and daily tactical execution. You will build and execute a long-term content plan that maximizes our significant resources, strengthens our Oklahoma’s Own brand, grows audience on every platform, and maintains the highest journalistic standards. You will shape culture. You will develop leaders. You will set the tone.

Lead the daily operation of a multi-platform newsroom, delivering timely, accurate, and competitive journalism.
Set editorial vision and direction across broadcast, digital, streaming, and social platforms.
Build, lead, and develop high-performing newsroom teams while shaping culture and accountability.
Drive short- and long-term content strategies that grow audience and strengthen quality.
Ensure the highest standards of journalistic ethics, legal compliance, and editorial integrity.
Use audience data and news trends to inform decisions and continuous improvement.
Partner with leadership to align newsroom strategy with station goals.
Manage newsroom resources to maximize impact and efficiency.
Represent the newsroom in the community and across the industry.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned, including driving an automobile for company business.
Job Schedule:
This is a full-time position primarily working 40 hours per week. You may also be called upon at times to fill in other hours and days of the week to help cover vacations, illnesses, breaking news, severe weather, or special projects/events. This position is not eligible to work remotely.

Formal education equivalent of BS degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field. Related experience will be evaluated and may be substituted as years of education.

Must be able to work extended work schedules. Frequent travel without advance notice. Extensive highway travel required. Occasional travel by helicopter required.
Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and have a driving record acceptable to the company.
